Humans have 3 colour receptive cones while dogs have only 2. Butterflies have 5 receptive cones and the mantis shrimp has a total of 16.
Now that means the mantis shrimp is able to see not only our spectrum of light, but a whole other.
Different spectrum, different colours. Now with that being said, what if we were able to study the mantis shrimps receptive cones to categorize these new “colours” through definable shades (Our brains could never comprehend them).
With these shades we would be able to bend light to a whole new extent with the hopes of a new extremity. What would we be able to do with this spectrum, if anything at all? Would it break through to the ability to harness light? Bend light differently?
We only see BECAUSE of light. With a lack of light we’d OBVIOUSLY be unable to see, but if something completely reflected light, would it be like looking at perfect silhouette? A blank unrecognizable mass? You wouldn’t see any features within it, only a blankness.
Don’t fill your voids with temporary vices, falsified fixations of “happy”. Accept the fact you’re unhappy and stop pushing it outwards onto everyone else. You’ve built an enigma inside of yourself because of past problems. It’s time to move on. It’s time to realize your shortcomings, your personal abandonment, your not-good-enough’s and whatever else you may think is wrong with yourself and accept them for what they are, temporary. Let go of it all. None of it matters. It’s all bullshit you don’t need.
